New LASIK technology, called wavefront, is changing how eye surgeons can address your visual problems. Wavefront technology is a way of measuring vision by sending rays of light into the eye and measuring the aberrations (or refractive error) that result when the light bounces off the retina and exits the eye. This provides a more complete picture of where the imperfections are on the cornea, which allows InView surgeons to concentrate on those areas during surgery, improving LASIK outcomes profoundly. There are many different wavefront systems that have been introduced in the refractive surgery industry. But not every wavefront laser system is the best option to treat every type of vision problem. That's why InView carries three such systems, CustomVue®, InterWave® technology and CustomCornea®. All technologies are beneficial in unique ways and your surgeon will determine which will be best for you, in order to give you the best outcome.
