As a Probation Officer in the Eastern District of Tennessee for the United States District Court, InView Patient Sladjauna “Sly” Hays shares her story on how LASIK changed her life:

Having LASIK surgery by Dr. Thompson at InView changed my life in many areas. Specifically, my job, where semi-annual re-qualification to carry a gun is a requirement.  Initially, I struggled to re-qualify, barely scoring the required 80%. The Firearms Specialists worked with me, but could not figure out what the problem was because my technique was fine.

The first time requalifing after LASIK, not only did I re-qualify, I shot 100% on the single action course and 98% on the double action course, barely missing the cut off on the target with one bullet at the 25 yard line. Before the surgery, I could barely see the target from the 25 yard line!  To top this, I scored the highest in the District, earning me the Hot Shot trophy. I was thrilled! I thought the trophy was out of my grasp. Now, rather than worrying about re-qualifing, I get upset if I shoot lower than 98%. Which, thanks to LASIK, is very rare. Not only did the surgery improve my shooting ability, it gave me the confidence needed for my job.
