Patient Education InView Vision
The leader in Vision Correction.

Seeing the Big Picture.
At InView, it's the big picture that makes
the difference
Why InView?
WHEN EMORY UNIVERSITY physicians founded InView in 1994, they
set out to create the nation's premier Center of Excellence for
vision correction surgery.
InView is everything the name suggests - a center created by the
nation's top eye surgeons, using the most advanced technology for
vision correction surgery. A center where you know you'll receive
the best patient care. A center where you can be confident in the
knowledge and expertise of the physicians and staff in a calm, comforting
environment.
When patients come to InView, they receive the same level of excellence
they've come to expect from the preeminent
LASIK center in the Southeast. In 1995, our physicians conducted
the first FDA clinical trial of LASIK surgery in the US. They have
completed one of the most extensive training and credentialing programs
and all are board certified.
They continue to participate in FDA clinical trials and ongoing
testing of the latest procedures in refractive surgery. Now they
have taken LASIK surgery to its next level providing sharper, clearer
vision with custom LASIK technology.
Sharper vision through InterWave ® interactive vision testing
InView is credited with leading the industry for developing a
revolutionary technology that optimizes vision with laser vision
surgery. It's called InterWave ® technology. InterWave ® gives
you a level of clarity previously unattainable in LASIK, and it's
only available at InView. InterWave ® is the most comprehensive way to measure and improve your
vision - even if you've already had refractive surgery.
The InterWave ® Scanner provides
an accurate measurement of the entire visual system to get you the
best vision achievable.
How
does it work?
InterWave ® is the only technology
available that actually incorporates the patient's input when measuring
the entire visual system. Typical eye measurements are made by shooting
light into the eye and measuring it as it bounces back.
InterWave ® Technology Explained
- When a patient looks into the InterWave ® Scanner, the image of a target and a test spot
are being projected into the eye, precisely positioned by a computer
tracking system.
- These images are processed by the eye and the visual circuitry
in the brain.
- Using a joystick, the patient aligns the test spot on the target.
Vision is measured through multiple regions of the pupil, instead
of a single measurement, to allow for creation of laser treatments
that provide sharper, clearer vision with less glare and halo.
- InterWave ® Visualizer simulates
what a patient's vision could be like following InterWave ® LASIK.
Redefining vision
Just how much difference can InterWave ® make in your LASIK surgery?
Individuals who undergo InterWave ® LASIK have achieved vision that averaged four times as sharp
in dim light. Glare and halos, associated with standard LASIK, are
reduced significantly by nearly 50%.
More than LASIK
We understand that the needs of each patient are as unique as
every set of eyes. That's why InView offers a complete range of
vision correction surgery procedures for each individual need, from
LASIK surgery to intraocular lens implants. At your 4Sight LASIK
examination, the physician will recommend the best option for your
eyes.
An investment in your quality of life
Our commitment to quality is why we offer the best possible vision
to our patients. We differentiate our services based on technology,
superior care and optimal vision. The cost of LASIK surgery is approximately
$2,495 per eye, which includes the surgery (including surgeon and
facility fees), a postoperative kit and all postoperative examinations
and enhancement treatments for 12 months following the initial surgery.
Many Flexible Spending Accounts allow employees to pay for vision
correction surgery on a pre-tax basis. A variety of payment plans
are also available.
